Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. We believe in emotional healing as a transformative process of repair and recovery in mind, body and spirit resulting in positive change, self-actualization and personal fulfilment. Our goal is to create safe environment that nurtures psychological healing, where clients can focus on developing a stronger sense of self-awareness, enhance communication skills and improve interpersonal relationships.
At Therapy Today, our mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate care to individuals, couples and families struggling with mental health issues. We believe that therapy should be accessible to everyone regardless of their background or financial situation.
Our approach to counseling involves a deep understanding that each individual and their circumstances are unique and require an individualized course of treatment to reach their optimum potential and realize a positive outcome. We take a client-centered approach focusing on the unique needs and goals of each individual and treat the root of presenting symptoms, addressing the core belief systems that drive problematic patterns. In collaboration with our clients, we incorporate evidenced-based approaches to focus on prioritizing rational thinking and emotional awareness.
A clear distinction is often made between ‘mind’ and ‘body’. However, the mind and the body are not two separate entities – physical and emotional health are closely intertwined in what’s known as the mind-body interconnectivity. Understanding each dimension and the connection between mind, body and spirit are crucial to emotional well-being.
Our chemistry and biology impact our mood and emotions, as well as thoughts and beliefs. There are various ways in which poor mental health has been shown to be detrimental to physical health and vice-a-versa. We are inseparably linked to everything that we see, hear, feel and experience throughout our lives. These linkages can have a significant impact on our central beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.
